Please also note that Vitamin A levels in sense* for gut health are above the recommended dosage for pregnant women.

Yes, all our products are vegan-friendly except zinc’d which is suitable for vegetarians. This is because of vitamin D3 in zinc’d which derives from lanolin (wool). zinc’d relies more heavily on vitamin D than our other products so we needed the most effective form, namely D3 (which is 50% more effective than D2).

Yes, all our products are suitable for a halal diet. They are free from porcine and other pork products. zinc’d is not certified as such but is suitable for vegetarians.

Yes, all our products are suitable for a kosher diet. They are free from porcine and other pork products. zinc’d is not certified as such but is suitable for vegetarians.

Ingredients and manufacture

We do not add sugar (sucrose) to any of our products. If we add are adding sweetness, we only use Stevia, a natural sweetener.

None of our products contain GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms).

All the ingredients we use are approved by EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), which determines their effectiveness using clinical trials. The efficacy of our nutrients is backed by a significant body of research that is growing every day.

Our products are made from the highest quality vitamins and natural botanicals, sourced from around the world. All our organic ingredients carry organic certification.

We partner companies that care as much about their supply chain as we do. We’ve worked tirelessly to find suppliers with ingredients that meet our high standards.

Our products are carefully manufactured to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) quality standards in the UK.

We exclusively use hard gel capsules because tablets contain excessive amounts of lubricants, bulking agents, coatings and other agents. We want to keep our products as pure as we possibly can.

Advice on how to take sense* products

As our products are a daily supplement, you can take them every day. Or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

The capsules can be taken with a glass of water, ideally around a meal time. The superfood powders are best consumed by mixing into juice or smoothies, or into porridge in the morning.

Please note that our Busy Lives supplement is a potent energy booster and a very efficient way to release energy levels. We strongly advise that you do not take it before going to bed or trying to sleep.

You can combine up to three different sense* products, taking the recommended dosage of one capsule or one powder serving of 5g. You can take any combination of up to three powders or capsules.

This means you can combine two capsules of the same product with one powder serving of another, or alternatively two powder servings of a product (2×5g) with one capsule from another product. You can also combine three different capsules or three different powder servings too.

Please consult a professional if you are under medical supervision, or if you are taking additional products or medication. If you are thinking of taking a combination of different sense* products, please contact our nutritionist for advice.

The product you choose depends on your specific lifestyle and health concern.

Our capsules contain essential vitamins and minerals and use well-known herbals and botanicals, such as gingko biloba for mental performance and mood. With these products you simply take one capsule a day.

Our powders are a unique combination incorporating a targeted multivitamin, embedded in a rich high quantity and quality superfood*. In order to reap the nutritional benefit from these superfoods, you need to take bigger amounts, so we deliver them in a powder.

If you are not sure which product is right for you please contact our nutritionist.

Understanding the sense* product labels

The Nutrient Reference Value is a guideline for the recommended daily intake of vitamins and minerals set by the EU. Traditionally known as Recommended Daily Amount (RDA) in the UK, the NRV is the amount which will meet the requirements of 97.5% of the population. This requirement is the intake level of essential nutrients needed by healthy people to prevent deficiencies.

Our focus is on bio-availability. All our products are formulated to offer the highest absorption rate from the human body. We specifically source and combine our vitamins, minerals, herbals, botanicals and superfoods so that your body can maximise absorption of the nutrients, making them more effective.

Where to buy sense* products

zinc'd by sense*

We have come up with a system where those who are relatively healthy only need one capsule per day, so 30 capsules per month. Whilst those who are more at risk need 2 capsules per day, so 60 capsules per month. That’s why zinc’d comes in 2 pack sizes: 30 capsules and 60 capsules.

If your body is under attack and you feel ill or you are coming down with something. Act quickly and double your dosage. Your body will use up the ingredients at a much faster rate if you are becoming sick or unwell.

A single capsule contains the following active ingredients:

 • zinc – at 12.5mg per capsule, is sufficient to top up your body’s immune system on a daily basis.
 • vitamin C – at 550mg per capsule. Humans don’t make our own vitamin C nor do we store it. It is a major anti-oxidant and fights off infection and free radicals. So it is an essential vitamin that we must get from diet or supplementation.

Government says have 5-a-day but the reality is we need at least 10-a-day. How many people get this amount of fruit & veg? So supplementing is the only way that most people get enough vitamin C.

 • vitamin D – at 10 micrograms per capsule. The Government recommends 10 micrograms daily for everyone over the winter.

zinc – at 25mg per 2 capsules for those people at risk, you are maximising your requirement. Any more than this on a long term basis and you run the risk of becoming anaemic. However, on a short term basis up to 50 mg is within safety levels.

vitamin D – the Government recommends 20 micrograms per day for the elderly which is contained in 2 capsules.

Doubling the dosage or even quadrupling (if taking only one capsule per day) in times of extra demand e.g. becoming ill, is a good idea since good outcomes with COVID-19 and other infections have been reported on higher doses of all these ingredients.

If you are already taking some sense*products products, we have always followed a simple rule and the same applies now. Because all the sense* products are powerful supplements with lots of nutrition, you shouldn’t take more than 3 dosages on a daily basis.

As far as zincd is concerned, your dose is dependant on your category, either at risk or not at risk. So if you are already taking 2 doses of other sense* products, either 2 x serving of one product or 1 x serving of 2 products, then you are allowed to take your suggested dose of zincd.

We decided early on that zincd was going to be a subscription only model. In order to have the maximum impact across the population it is necessary to take these ingredients on a daily basis. And if you forget, just double your dosage for a couple of days, it will only do you good.

However, we recognise that some people want either to have a decent supply in their cupboards or simply to grab a bargain. So we have arranged for both the 30 capsule pack (one capsule a day – if not at risk) and the 60 capsule pack (two capsules per day – if at risk) to be available as a bulk buy of 6 months(6 packs) or 12 months(12 packs).

We have not yet fully decided on the keyworker charities to donate to. Sadly, there don’t seem to be a lot of options so we may have to set one up ourselves. Watch this space!

We will be donating all gross profit less direct overheads and expenses from the sale of zinc’d. Find out more below:

Profit for keyworker charities: definition

We have used a definition for keyworkers originally produced by the Cabinet Office. We want everyone to benefit from the lowest paid to the top consultants. Find out more below:

Keyworker: a definition

Individual keyworkers seem to have got a raw deal. Lots of clapping (for a while) and lots of donations to NHS charities.

But donations to NHS charities don’t reach individual keyworkers or their families, they go to the NHS institutions. If we were being cynical these donations simply end up in Government coffers.

So there is a need to put this right, would you agree?
